Safety and Enforcement

To ensure everyone's safety the Marion County Sheriff Dept.

will be out and about, so no open alcoholic beverages will be permitted anywhere's or by anyone,

"especially those participating in the parade",

any participant that  appears  under the influence will be pulled out and will not be allowed to participate in the parade, it's that simple.

Also when the parade starts moving from the starting point to the end, participants are to conduct themselves in a safe manner at all times.

We're asking you to keep a safe following distance between you and the ones in front of you, also you are to ignore any encouragement from the crowd that might say

"get on it or let's see what it will do".

A parade is not the time or place for that, remember the roadway through Loretto is small and the crowds are usually large and it only takes one stupid act to kill many in an instant.

Anyone witnessed conducting in an unsafe manner will be immediately stopped and pull out, right then and there no exceptions.

These action are being taken due to some issues that have occured in past years, our goal is to keep everyone safe and for everyone to come and enjoy the evening and leave with smiles and lots of great memories.
